Griffith University’s School
of Tourism and Hotel Management is based in one of Australia’s most popular
tourist destinations – the dynamic Gold Coast. Being situated in the heart
of one of Australia’s premiere tourism destinations and amidst the major
international hotel chains on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, students have
ready access to considerable study and career benefits. Programs are developed
in close collaboration with industry, with extensive practical experience
integral to the degree requirements.
Having received several Queensland
Tourism Awards for ‘Excellence in Industry Education’, the School is at
the forefront of its field. An excellent example of the School’s practical,
industry-oriented approach to teaching and learning is CJ’s Training Restaurant.
Situated on-campus and open to the public, the popular restaurant is operated
by the students.
