Recognized by industry leaders as one of the top hospitality schools in the United States, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University attracts over 1000 students from all over the world and the US. Current students represent over 75 countries.

Located on scenic Biscayne Bay, the School offers Bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality Management and Travel and Tourism Management and Master’s degrees in Hospitality Management and Tourism Studies. An Executive Master’s Track is available for hospitality industry managers, on site and via distance. One-year and one-semester Certificate programs are also available. The School has been recognized as a Program of Distinction.

The secret of the School’s success is industry-experienced faculty, outstanding facilities (including a state-of-the-art Beverage Management Center, Computer Lab and Food Production Center), a unique location, excellent job placement and an unsurpassed network of support for students and graduates. Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, two of the top tourism destinations in the world, provide students with excellent opportunities to work while pursuing their studies in Hospitality/Tourism Management. Students must complete a minimum of 1300 hours industry related work experience to receive the degree. With the help of industry executives, the School has created an internship program, which utilizes the hotels, resorts, restaurants, clubs, airlines, cruise lines, travel companies and convention bureaus as practice labs for students. Job placement assistance is available. Nationally and internationally known hospitality companies come to the School to recruit students and graduates of the program. Scholarship are available.

FIU is one of ten state universities in Florida. More than 34,000 students are enrolled in over 200 degree programs. 8,000 of these students, including Hospitality majors, attend the beautiful Biscayne Bay Campus in N. Miami.
