www.foothill.edu/bss/tc
The Foothill College Travel Careers Program, established in 1973, offers the most contemporary training available in the United States. The extensive curriculum includes 7 different courses taught on live SABRE - giving our graduates an "edge" with employers. These computer courses are integrated with 16 other courses concentrating on sales, destinations, cruises and tourism. We also offer Destination Specialist courses developed by ICTA (Institute of Certified Travel Agents).

Stimulating career opportunities include working for airlines, corporate or leisure travel agencies, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, and Internet travel companies. The field welcomes all who are interested in acquiring the necessary skills, including mature persons and those s eeking re-entry or second careers. On-the-job internships can be arranged through the program for interested students who meet minimum department requirements.

We offer an A.A. degree in Travel Careers, a Certificate of Proficiency, and five Career Certificates. Our classes are open to all students with no pre-qualification tests. Our advanced classes are also suitable for travel industry professionals who would like to improve their skills or broaden their knowledge. So, if you share a love and enthusiasm for the exciting world of travel, join us as soon as you can. The college is on the 12-week quarter system: FALL (mid-September to mid-December); WINTER (January to March); SPRING (April to June); plus a five-week SUMMER session. Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.
