++QUICK REMINDER++
First, later today the Free "Positions Available Listings" will be
e-mailed. Generally this occurs within 4-6 hours of the newsletter. As
an added benefit, some of the listings will refer to an expanded offering
on the Hospitality 1ST web site. Also, next week the newsletter features
some of the various group/membership organizations available to the industry,
both in the U.S. and around the globe. If you'd like your group included

++WHAT TIME DO YOU HAVE?++
Whether you're a webmaster, marketer, involved in public relations
or maybe the restaurantor wanting to know when the fish was caught - it
might be of help to know what time it is in various parts of the world.
For many, the fax and e-mail communications go back and forth and it may
serve some importance for you to know the local time for your intended
recipient (remember "targeted marketing"). Try the "Time Zone Converter"
site and maybe make it a bookmark {https://www.timezoneconverter.com/}.
++TRADE SHOWS++
For many subscribers, the "Trade Show Circuit" is a series of routine
events. Beautiful displays, large "loud" banners, tons of literature, the
bag for "stuff" and most likely a drawing or two for prizes, are still
the mainstay for this hospitality segment. What's the easiest way to spoil
it all? By sitting down in your booth AND eating. Sitting (by choice) and
eating within your booth is all it takes to have your potential visitor
walk right past you. Make arrangements for some relief help that can cover
stretch breaks, lunches and dinner, if need be. Many exhibitors will locate
themselves outside their booths in order to "herd" visitors in - great
success can be had with this technique. If it is a restaurant/food show,
most visitors would be a bit more tolerant of "eating" obviously. Before
you write to me - I understand there may be "medical - physical", or similar
considerations, making it necessary to sit.

++STOP SHOUTING++
Here's an easy way to discourage others from reading your e-mail that
you sent. By typing in all Capital (Upper Case) Letters like this; HERE'S
THE WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT PRESS/NEWS RELEASE AND/OR RESUME! - especially
if it's done in the "subject" line. Use the capitalization sparingly (used
here, in the newsletter, to separate ideas) and you'll gain added respect
from your intended audience.
++DISCOUNTS++
Ever thought of "selling" your gift certificates, either wholesale
or some type of incentive program? Try discounting your gift certificates
20%-50% when purchased in advance, in large quantities, and with more stringent
time guidelines. You'll have added incentive from additional moneys up
front, there's always a chance they won't be used and/or you might want
to make your services available as a "get acquainted" offer that "looks"
better than a coupon.

Mention was made for a book drawing. Many of you entered and asked
how the person is selected. It's done by an EXCEL Program function which
randomly picks the e-mail address from those entered. The winner will be
selected Thursday (entries closed Monday) and announced right here next
week, once the lucky person is notified.
