Pines Resort Hosts First-Ever NovemberFest Weekend

Award-Winning
Pocono Family Resort Gears Up for Bavarian-Themed Fall Fun
|
Hawley,
PA October 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / This November at Woodloch
Pines, an award-winning, all-inclusive family resort located in Pennsylvanias
Pocono Mountains, guests will be in for a pre-holiday treat. Set to debut
right before the start of Woodlochs exciting Thanksgiving and Christmas
festivities, the resort will host its first-ever NovemberFest Weekend from
November 18th to 20th.
Based
on the traditional Oktoberfest, a German folk festival that occurs annually
in Bavaria, Germany, Woodloch Resort hosted Wood-Loch-Toberfest this
past summer. Following the success of the event, which featured live music,
German food, special local draft beers, crafts, games, and dancing, NovemberFest
will expand to become a full weekend event during the already popular fall
season.
Guests
can look forward to partaking in the following activities during their
stay:
-
A German
Buffet featuring an accordion player
-
Live Music
from The Oompah Boys, a German band specializing in popular rock and pop
songs
-
Bavarian
Bar Games for adults
-
Carnival
games and a balloon artist for children
-
German
Themed Baking Wars a team versus team event that has bakeries competing
in both resource management and creativity all under time constraints
-
Local
craft beer supplied by The Irving Cliff Brewery, located just 15 miles
from Woodloch
Guests
can also still enjoy some of Woodlochs most popular outdoor activities,
such as the go karts, zipline, climbing wall, and archery, in the cooler
autumn temperatures. As an added bonus, NovemberFest weekend features some
of the Pocono resorts lowest prices of the season with rates starting
at $149 per adult, per night.
Woodlochs
creative brand of fun extends into the following week. During its Thanksgiving
Sampler package from November 21st to 23rd, the family resort will feature
a brand-new activity that highlights the true meaning of the holiday season
giving back. The aptly named CANstruction Contest will offer guests
the opportunity to design and build various elaborate structures using
canned and boxed foods, which will then be donated to local food banks.
Our
guests are always expecting something new, different and exciting, and
we want to deliver on that expectation, said Joey Ranner, Woodlochs Activities
Director. Fall is the perfect time to celebrate and be thankful while
enjoying some great seasonal food, drinks, and entertainment. That will
all be here for the taking in November!
