Sun Trolley to Host a Transportation Celebration Event to
Celebrate 25 Years of Service in Fort Lauderdale
|
Fort Lauderdale, FL August 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / The Sun Trolley, known for its quaint red and yellow trolleys that have been transporting locals and tourists alike and have become a staple in the greater Fort Lauderdale community, will celebrate its silver anniversary this September. To kick off the 25th anniversary celebration, the Sun Trolley is hosting "A Transportation Celebration" on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum (1527 SW 1st Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315).

"We wanted to do something special for the 25th Anniversary of the Sun Trolley and for us this meant celebrating together with the community and continuing a discussion about what transportation is going to look like in Fort Lauderdale for the next 25 years," says Executive Director of the Downtown Fort Lauderdale TMA Robyn Chiarelli.

This 'Hip to Jive' event at the Antique Car Museum promises to take participants back to the Roaring 20's. With Great Gatsby-themed décor, the event will feature light fare, drinks, a swing band with flapper dancers, and remarks from community leaders and elected officials. The event will focus on celebrating past accomplishments and embracing the future of transportation and economic growth in Broward County.

"Serving more than 450,000 residents and tourists each year, the Sun Trolley and Riverwalk Water Trolley are integral components of the City's multi modal transportation network. As the landscape of our transportation system continues to expand and evolve, it's important that we come together as a community to continue the dialogue and share ideas," said Chiarelli.

Tickets are on sale now for $25 and will increase to $35 if purchased after 11:55 p.m. on September 15, 2016. Visit bit.ly/celebrate25yrs to purchase tickets. Interested in becoming a sponsor for this event? Go to bit.ly/suntrolley to find out about our sponsorship opportunities for this event.
