Denver,
CO October 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Steve
Holtze, founder and chairman of Stout
Street Hospitality, today announced that Sarah Holtze Treadway and
Eric Holtze have been promoted to co-chief executive officers. In addition
to her new role as co-CEO, Treadway also will serve as president of the
company. The brother-sister team will lead the operations and development
of the company their father founded in 1993.
Its
an exciting day for our company as Sarah and Eric take the reigns of the
business I founded more than 20 years ago, said Steve Holtze. After gaining
industry experience outside of the company, they returned to Denver with
fresh perspectives in both operations and development. Im excited to see
what the future holds under their leadership.
Stout
Street Hospitality is a Denver-based privately-held hotel management and
development company that operates upscale boutique hotels catering to the
sophisticated traveler. The core product line consists of award-winning,
independent hotels under the Magnolia brand, offering an ambience not found
elsewhere. The company currently operates Magnolia
hotels in Denver, Dallas (downtown and Park Cities), Houston, Omaha,
and St. Louis, and a ski resort in Winter Park, Colo. Five of these properties
are in historic buildings located in the urban core of their respective
cities.
Treadway
started her hospitality career in sales with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts,
working in both New York and Los Angeles. Since joining SSH in 2007, Treadway
has worked in sales and marketing, operations and asset management, in
addition to sitting on the companys advisory board. She holds an MBA from
the Daniels School of Business, University of Denver.
Outside
of her professional accomplishments, Treadway is committed to giving back
to the communities in which she works. She helped to create the SSH corporate
sponsorship of Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver, Dallas, Houston, Omaha
and St. Louis, and she is on the House Operation Committee for the Denver/Aurora
Ronald McDonald House. Treadway also has been on a number of boards including
the Junior League of Denver, Historic Denver and the Rocky Mountain Childrens
Health Foundation where she chaired the organizations largest fundraiser,
the Kaleidoscope Gala, the last two years.
Eric
Holtze has spent more than 15 years focusing on the real estate side of
the hospitality industry. He started his career as a financial analyst
with The Plasencia Group where he spent much of his time underwriting hundreds
of potential hotel transactions. He brought these analytical skills to
the SSH team where he most recently served as executive vice president
of development, helping to grow the SSH portfolio. During the last two
years, Holtze spearheaded a major renovation project at the Magnolia Denver
that expanded the size of the hotel by 50 rooms while enhancing the product
to four-star quality, and he oversaw the acquisition, rehabilitation and
repositioning of the Magnolia St. Louis. He holds an MMH from the Hotel
School at Cornell University.
Holtze
also is involved in the companys effort to support Ronald McDonald Houses
and gives back by sitting on the board of directors for the Denver location.
My
brother and I are honored to take on more of a leadership role in the company
that our father worked so hard to build, said Treadway. We both have
worked many jobs at the hotelshousekeeping, valet, breakfast server, general
manager, etc. and we are blessed to have a loyal team of people working
for us now. Growing up the way we did, we have hospitality in our blood.
We look forward to growing our family business in the years to come.
Stout
Street Hospitality began in 1993 when Chairman Steve Holtze formed Stevens
Holtze Corp. for the purpose of renovating historic buildings in middle
America city center locations. The groups first project was restoring
the 1911 First National Bank Building at 17th and Stout and opening what
is now the Magnolia Hotel Denver. Holtze began branding all properties
under the Magnolia name after opening the Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown
in 1999 in the iconic 1922 Magnolia Oil Building, once the tallest building
west of the Mississippi. The company was known as Magnolia Hotels until
2010 when it expanded its vision and changed its name to Stout Street Hospitality.
