Four BOHAN Projects Earn International Hospitality Marketing Awards
Nashville, TN January 2007 Projects that BOHAN Advertising | Marketing produced for Beaches of South Walton and The Peabody Orlando Hotel in Florida, as well as for The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, have won international marketing awards.

All have won Adrian Awards from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). The contest, which attracted more than 1,200 entries from 32 countries, is the largest travel marketing competition in the world, according to HSMAI. The 50th annual presentation of Adrian Awards were Jan. 29, 2007, in New York City.

The AAA Five Diamond-rated Greenbrier, often called Americas Resort, is in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., and has been a BOHAN client since 2004. Beaches of South Walton is the marketing umbrella for Walton County and its 14 beachside communities in Floridas Panhandle. It has been a BOHAN client since 2000. The Peabody Orlando, one of the nations top convention hotels, began working with the agency in 2005.

The winning projects are:

  • A Greenbrier campaign called Myths, which suggests that legends such as the fountain of youth, an enchanted forest and a secret hideaway really do exist at the historic resort. The same campaign will appear in the 2007 Graphis Advertising Annual, one of the top international showcase publications for design and advertising.
  • The Beaches of South Walton travel planner, which highlights all aspects of the destination necessary for researching and planning a vacation.
  • A brochure for Beaches of South Walton that promotes Autumn Tides, a shoulder-season campaign that has extended the destinations traditional summer tourism season.
  • A sales promotion piece for The Peabody Orlando that explains a major rooms and facilities expansion to meeting and convention planners.
Teams of marketing experts from all sectors of the hospitality industry judge the Adrian Awards. HSMAI was founded in 1927 and has 7,000 members who work in tourism, lodging, destination promotion and other segments of the hospitality industry worldwide.
