San
Diego, CA December 2005 Architectural
Concepts, Inc. (ACI) a San Diego firm regarded as one of the Southwests
top hospitality-oriented architectural and interior design firms, is receiving
rave reviews for its well thought out design of the Princeton Resorts Groups
Cibola Vista Resort and Spa in Peoria, Arizona.
Margit Whitlock-Espinosa, AIA, principal of the architectural firm, said Cibola Vista allows us to show what we are best at: producing a beautiful and functional environment that exemplifies our clients vision. The new resort is a vacation-ownership resort built on 20 acres in the Valley of the Sun Peoria, Arizona. It received its Certificate of Occupancy on October 31, 2005 and started receiving owners and guests just before Thanksgiving. Phase I of the project includes the first 80 of the planned 480 guest units. Amenities designed for the resort include trailhead horse corral; multiple swimming pools, one with a lazy river feature, island oasis and whirlpool; private spas and outdoor fireplaces for each of the six residential complexes; and an 8,000-square-foot day spa. The resort facilities include a 30,000-square-foot lobby with a bar, fine dining restaurant, and administration and sales areas. The project master plan includes a 100-room, four-star hotel. According to Neil Cumsky, creator of the project, Architectural Concepts is just the group of design professionals to take on such an all encompassing project. Their reputation for creativity, enveloped in cost effective and timely plans is what we need to make our dreams come to life. We are already hearing from the owners who particularly like the way the design preserves the traditions of the old American west with its rich earthy colors, meandering water ways and equestrian facility, he continues. Margit Espinosa-Whitlock and her team listened to our dreams and helped turn them into reality, cost effectively and creatively. Our first phase is showing that it really works. Cibola Vista is comprised of seven cities. Six cities are owners residential villas and the seventh city is the resorts common area which consists of an extensive amenity core. There are public and private courtyards, fountains, gardens and reflecting pools throughout the resort, all connected with a series of walkways to enhance the unique village design.
