2007 � Eron Shosteck has been hired by the American
Bus Association (ABA) as Senior Vice President Communications, Marketing
and Media Relations, ABA announced.
Shosteck has experience in the transportation industry, and most recently worked for Stratacomm LLC, a Fleishman-Hillard Company. There, he worked as an Account Director promoting and executing media outreach plans for several of the firm�s largest clients, including the Diesel Technology Forum. Prior to that, Shosteck worked as Director of Communications for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, serving as the top communicator in the auto industry, on high-profile transportation issues as vehicle safety, fuel economy and energy. �We are very excited to have Eron join ABA. We have made great strides for the motorcoach industry in recent years. Eron�s experience will help us not only communicate that message to our constituents but will also help us build a greater understanding and appreciation of the motorcoach industry among policymakers and consumers alike.� said ABA President and CEO Peter J. Pantuso. According to ABA Chairman, Doug Anderson, �Eron�s hiring marks the beginning of a vigorous new communications and marketing effort at ABA, something that has been personally important to me as an ABA member, as I have watched this association and the industry grow and succeed. Eron will help us get positive industry messages on the front page and it�s time for that.� Shosteck�s previous positions include Managing Editor for Features, The Hotline; Manager, Media and Product Communications, The Health Insurance Association of America; Communications Manager, The National Soft Drink Association; Speechwriter and Media Relations Specialist with the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and Press Secretary for Cong. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.). Shosteck graduated from
the University of Maryland, College Park, and was Editor in Chief of the
campus newspaper, The Diamondback.
