National Park, recently announced three new top management appointments.
Tracy Rogge joins the Yosemite executive team as vice president of operations, promoted from a recent post with Delaware North Companies owned Delta Queen Steamboat Company, Joseph Levesque, a 25-year industry veteran moves to Yosemite as the new vice president of human resources and Alice Harten returns to the park after a five-year hiatus to assume the helm as general manager of the historic Wawona Hotel. Rogge, Vice President of Operations
Rogge joined parent company Delaware North Companies in 1998 as accounting manger at the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex in Cape Canaveral, Fla., where she was subsequently promoted to controller, vice president of finance and vice president of operations. In January 2005, she was named to the position of vice president and chief financial officer at the Delta Queen Steamboat Company Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Delaware North Companies. Originally from Beatrice, Neb., Rogge is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Joseph
Levesque, Vice President of Human Resources
Levesque comes to Yosemite with more than 25 years of human resources management experience in various posts throughout California, including the City of Roseville, Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport and the private consulting firm HR & Management Systems Consults, where he served as principal and managing director. Most recently, Levesque was director of human resources at Palomar Pomerado Health District in San Diego, a healthcare system consisting of 3,000 employees and several medical business units. He has authored numerous books and trade journal articles on HR industry subjects, as well as instructed both university graduate and undergraduate classes and professional seminars. Levesque holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography/sociology from Cal State University, Hayward, a master�s degree in urban geography/planning and sociology from Cal State University, Northridge and has conducted additional graduate course work in public administration. Harten, General Manager, Wawona Hotel
Located 30 miles south of Yosemite Valley at the south fork of the Merced River, the Wawona Hotel is known for its tranquil setting amidst white wooden buildings, rolling green lawns and lush pine and cedar forested grounds. The hotel offers a fine dining room, cocktail lounge, 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, riding stables and pioneer history center in addition to charming mid-19th century-style guestrooms furnished with period furniture and upscale country décor. Harten originally arrived in the Yosemite Park in 1984 and served in various management positions throughout the years including employee housing and recreation, Badger Pass ski area and the High Sierra Camps. She left Yosemite in 2001 to work as manager of the Jenner Inn by the Sea on the Sonoma Coast followed by a post as general manager for the Osmosis Enzyme Bath and Massage in Freestone. A native of California, Harten attended the University of California at Davis and is currently enrolled in America Health Sciences University and National Institute of Nutritional Education Certified Nutritionist program.
