United States Virgin Islands September 2003 Big savings await travelers to Americas Caribbean this Fall. Commissioner of Tourism Pamela C. Richards is pleased to announce an enticing new program for the upcoming Fall season - the Fall into Americas Caribbean promotion - offered by the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism in conjunction with the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Associations.

Valid for travel October 1, 2003 through January 10, 2004, the promotion provides many exciting ways for visitors to experience all that the USVI has to offer. Travelers will enjoy their fifth night free at participating hotels when a minimum four-night stay is booked. Upon check-in at a participating hotel or resort, visitors will be presented with a beautiful Crucian hook bracelet (a maximum of two bracelets per booking). These uniquely designed pieces of jewelry from St. Croix have become USVI icons and are a great way to commemorate what is sure to be the vacation of a lifetime. In addition, the USVI Department of Tourism has teamed up with American Express to provide visitors with extra spending money in the form of a $100 travelers cheque, which may be used to enjoy activities like sailing, snorkeling, shopping or dining at any local restaurants. To add to the savings, local retailers and vendors have contributed to a Passport to Savings coupon booklet, which contains discounts totaling more than $1,000 in savings for attractions, activities, restaurants, retail shops and a variety of fun and entertaining venues on all three islands.

An additional incentive is available to visitors who choose the serene island of St. Croix as their Caribbean island respite. Visitors who return to St. Croix within the next 12 months and stay at a participating property, will be offered a $100 Bounce Back resort credit.

Travelers must book their reservations for the Fall into Americas Caribbean promotion by December 15, through a favored travel agent. Blackout dates at select properties apply. For more information, contact a travel agent or one of the respective hotels. St. Croix properties participating in this promotion include: The Buccaneer Hotel; Antilles Resorts - Club St. Croix; Antilles Resorts - Colony Cove; Carambola Beach Resort; Chenay Bay Beach Resort; Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort; Frederiksted Hotel; Hotel Caravelle; and Sugar Beach Condominiums. The Westin Resort & Villas St. John is the participating property on St. John.
