Two
Historic St. Croix Hotels Change Ownership and Prepare for Renovations
Both
the King Christian and Cormorant Hotels recently were acquired by major
real estate developers, resulting in a combined purchase price of $4 million.
Denmark developer Hans Probst purchased St. Croix historic King Christian
Hotel and plans to renovate both the resorts commercial spaces, as well
as its restaurant. The King Christian, named after Denmarks King Christian
IX, is one of the oldest buildings on St. Croix, and Probst intends to
maintain the hotels name and preserve the buildings history. Cormorant
Beach Club & Hotel also recently changed ownership. Purchased by St.
Croix-based Cormorant Holdings LLC, the 40-room La Grande Princesse resort
will undergo renovations to upgrade guest rooms and improve the overall
hotel appearance, develop its meeting facilities and enhance the restaurant
and bar business. For more information about the King Christian Hotel,

Westin
St. John Resort & Villas Receives AAA Four Diamond Award
The
Westin St. John Resort & Villas has been awarded the esteemed AAA Four
Diamond award for excellence, recognizing the property for an exceptional
degree of hospitality and service. Only 40 properties in the Caribbean
have qualified for this prestigious award and this is the Westin St. Johns
third year as a recipient. General Manager Graeme Davis said, The report
praised the overall service at our resort, including the excellent housekeeping
service and the efficient check-in experience, as well as the many physical
renovations that have been made to the property. All of that would not
be possible without such a great team working together to make a stay here
one of the finest in the Caribbean. For more information, call 888-627-7206,
