Vow
Renewal Ceremonies Scheduled for Valentine�s Day
In
honor of the upcoming Valentine�s Day holiday, St. Croix and St. John will
host two mass vow renewal ceremonies on February 14, 2004. On St. Croix,
Captain John Macy, also known as �Big Beard� will officiate the St. Croix
Valentine�s Renewal of Vows Ceremony at Sunset. The event will take place
on the beach in front of the Beach Side Café near Frederiksted at
6 p.m. For additional information, call (340) 773-4482. The Second Annual
St. John Vow Renewal will take place at Trunk Bay Beach at 5:30 p.m. The
2003 event brought together more than 70 couples, with more than 1,500

Caneel Bay and Ritz Carlton On Travel & Leisure�s Greatest Hotels In
The World List
Travel
& Leisure magazine recently released their T + L 500 list, which names
the 500 greatest hotels in the world. The Buccaneer Hotel on St. Croix,
Caneel Bay Beach Resort on St. John and The Ritz Carlton on St. Thomas
made the list for the Caribbean region. The selection process polled readers
in the magazine�s �2003 World�s Best Awards� survey. The readers evaluated
the properties based on rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants
and food, and value. The Greatest Hotels in the World list is currently
featured in Travel & Leisure�s January issue.
USVI
Featured on ESPN
The
USVI was featured on ESPN during the station�s program, �Inside America�s
National Parks.� The show was filmed on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas
and included an overview of the islands� parks, as well as a closer look
at the many activities available for adventure travelers. ESPN featured
the USVI on two different episodes, both of which aired periodically from
December 19, 2003 through December 28, 2003. In addition to this program,
the USVI will soon be featured on the station�s programs, �Destination
Outdoors� and �Fly Fishing America.�

Selected by NATJA as Best Domestic Destination and for Best Tour Operator
Members
of the North American Travel Journalists Association recently selected
the USVI as the �Best Domestic Destination� in their 2003 NATJA Awards.
In addition, Sweeny Toussaint of St. Croix Safari Tours was selected as
the �Best Tour Operator.� Nominations for the awards include travel destinations
and promotional efforts throughout the entire United States.

of the Virgin Islands National Park Announce 2004 Seminar Schedule
A
few highlights of the seminars include: a tropical photography workshop;
a nature writing workshop; a historical sugarworks stroll; an archaeology
boat trip; a lesson in making genuine coconut oil; a trip that explores
the ecosystems of Lameshur and Europa Bays; a bird watching tour; a marine
biology sailing trip; stars and their stories; an Afro-Caribbean drumming
workshop; a lesson in traditional West Indian cooking; kayaking Hurricane
Hole; an introduction to bush medicine; a Taino pottery pit firing workshop;
and turtle identification and monitoring. All proceeds fund projects within
