from Kemmons Wilson, the founder of Holiday Inns. The School is located
in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of
Memphis. The goal of the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort
Management is to be the leader in hospitality and resort management education,
developing outstanding leaders for the business of hospitality and resorts.
The Kemmons Wilson School
of Hospitality & Resort Management offers a balance of hands-on experience
and academics in lodging, food and beverage and resort management. By blending
tourism, business and international hospitality with other functional areas
our program prepares students for a 21st century career.
The School is housed in
a new eighty-two suite Holiday Inn with extensive banquet and restaurant
facilities and is located on the University of Memphis campus. The school
faculty works closely with the management team of the hotel to offer students
an optimal learning environment. Our required field experience greatly

Mississippi, Perkins Restaurants, Aramark, the campus contract feeder,
Gate Gourmet and a myriad of other restaurants, lodging, and tourism businesses
in Memphis and across the nation.
The School is partnered with
numerous hospitality businesses and industry leaders. Through recent development
efforts and industry representatives interest in the school, we will be
able to offer scholarships through, InterContinental Hotels Group, the
International Association of Holiday Inns (IAHI) and Perkins Restaurants.
