Search for New TIA President Begins
|
Washington, DC June 2004 Following the announcement by TIA President & CEO William S. Norman that he will retire January 5, 2005, TIA National Chair Bruce Wolff, executive vice president, Sales & Marketing Programs, Marriott International, announced that the search for a replacement is underway. There is consensus that it will be a challenge to find another leader who can serve and represent TIA with Bills high degree of excellence, Wolff said in a memo to the Board of Directors. Thus, we have concluded that we should begin the search process immediately.

Wolff named a search committee consisting of current elected officers, Past National Chairs, and chairs of key Board Committees and National Councils. Past National Chair John Marks (2003), president & CEO San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, will chair the search committee.
