Washington,
DC December 2003 Europe is the most important regional market for U.S.
inbound tourism. In 2002, the region generated 45 percent of all overseas
arrivals to the U.S. And even though spending by European visitors was
down last year, they remain our biggest source of international visitor
spending.
The Travel Industry Association of America recently released report, Europe Travel Demand: Trends and Insights, 2003 Edition provides in-depth analysis of the economy and consumer environment in the EU, with specific detail on outbound travel and travel to the U.S. from the region. The report also provides country profiles of outbound and U.S. travel from seven key European markets as well as analyses of the travel trade environment and travel forecasts. Click

detailed.
