organization is excited to announce the formation of a new 501(c)(6) nonprofit
association, the Onsite
Property Management Association (OPMA). OPMA will specifically promote
education and advocacy for onsite property management companies.
�This
next chapter in the life of StayMonkey.com will continue to provide education
and advocacy on the value of renting through an onsite property management
company versus non-onsite management companies or individuals,� said Paul
Wohlford, vice president of StayMonkey.com.
With
support from the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association and VISIT
FLORIDA, Florida�s official tourism bureau, StayMonkey.com has gained considerable
momentum and is poised to brand OPMA as the go-to source for the industry.
Well-founded
membership criteria ensure all StayMonkey.com members are similar in company
structure and vision. OPMA will establish an initial board of directors
comprised of lodging professionals who will leverage their collective experiences
and bring them to the forefront, ensuring all members and affiliates have
access to the latest trends and information.
OPMA
will also provide and promote standards for the lodging industry that will
increase consumer confidence by providing quality control, thereby increasing
profits through return business from satisfied customers.

and growth of our industry,� Wohlford said. �It will set the standard in
