Radisson Hotels & Resorts have announced special travel consultant rates at its hotels for spring 2001. Radisson hotels in North America offering TA FAM Rates during April, May and June include: Radisson Hotel Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mex. ($39); Radisson Inn Madison in Madison, Wis. ($39); and Radisson Hotel Winnipeg Downtown in Winnipeg, Man. ($59). A number of international properties are also offering special rates for travel consultants during the second quarter. Among them are the Radisson Bali Hotel ($30) and Radisson Suite Bali ($53) in Indonesia; Radisson Plaza Hotel La Paz, Bolivia ($59); Radisson Hotel Delhi, India ($80); Radisson Hotel Narita Airport, (Tokyo) Japan (9000 Yen); and Radisson Hotel Bangkok, Thailand (1900 THB).

"Spring is a particularly popular time for our international properties to participate in the TA FAM Rate program," explained Kathy Hollenhorst, vice president of marketing for Radisson Hotels & Resorts. "There are a number of opportunities for every travel consultant no matter what your client base."

Other Radisson hotels offering familiarization rates during at least one of the spring months include $39 per night at the following: Radisson Mart Plaza (Miami); Radisson Inn Lafayette (Lafayette, Ind.); Radisson New Orleans Airport; Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview (Duluth, Minn.); Radisson City Center Hotel St. Paul (St. Paul, Minn.); Radisson Natchez Eola (Natchez, Miss.); Radisson Northern Hotel (Billings, Mont.); Radisson Hotel Utica Centre (Utica, N.Y.);Radisson Inn Cleveland Airport; Radisson Hotel Cincinnati; Radisson Harbour Inn (Sandusky, Ohio); Radisson Hotel Cleveland Southwest (Middleburg Heights, Ohio); and Radisson Hotel Charleston Airport (S.C.). Other travel consultant rates offered at Radisson properties during select spring months include: Windsor, Ontario and Guatemala City, Guatemala (both $50); Ixtapa, Mexico ($49); Mobile, Ala. ($59); Adelaide, Australia ($115); and Milwaukee, Wis. ($134).

All rates are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Travel consultant rates offered under the brand's TA FAM Rate Program can begin as low as $30 USD per night for Radisson hotels participating in the program. For international and resort properties, the rates generally range between $39 USD to $89 USD per night. Travel consultants interested in the TA FAM Rate Program should access their GDS for specific hotel and rate. All travel consultants requesting the rate must present their IATA identification card upon check in. A maximum two-night's stay per agent is allowed under the program guidelines. Hotels can add familiarization rates anytime throughout the year, so travel consultants should check their global distribution system (GDS) periodically for new rates being offered. To maximize room availability, each Radisson participating in the program reserves a minimum of five percent of its rooms for travel consultants. The rate is subject to availability and daily foreign exchange rate fluctuations.
