FL � October 2004 � The Pensacola Bay Area Convention & Visitors Bureau�s
(CVB) visitor information center and administrative offices at the foot
of the Pensacola Bay Bridge (1401 E. Gregory St.) received significant
damage from Hurricane Ivan, and the structure will be closed for repairs
for the next three to five months.
The
CVB (www.visitpensacola.com)
will soon open a temporary office on site from which to distribute maps,
brochures, and other information to visitors in person.
Temporarily
the CVB staff is working from the offices of the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber
of Commerce at 117 W. Garden St., Pensacola, FL 32502. Currently the best
way to reach a CVB staff member is via email (all
email addresses remain the same). The CVB�s phone system will be transferred
to the Chamber on Oct. 15 (at which time CVB staff may be reached at the
850-434-1234 telephone number; 850-432-8211 fax); however, in the meantime
should you need to reach a staff member via telephone please call the Pensacola
Bay Area Chamber of Commerce at 850-438-4081 or fax 850-438-0290.
