After the tour, visitors can dine, shop or visit the American Museum of Natural History, the New-York Historical Society or the Children's Museum right in the neighborhood or stroll back or bus across the Park to the Metropolitan or other museums on Museum Mile. The tour, which begins in midtown Manhattan and proceeds to the park by subway, is conducted by Sue Katz. A licensed New York City tour guide, Sue has a Masters degree from New York University in Travel & Tourism and is involved with Central Park Conservancy, an organization dedicated to preserving nature and buildings in the famous park. She has been leading Central Park Tours for over 10 years for people from all over the world. NYCVP also conducts the Original Lower Manhattan Historical Walking Tour as featured on CNN www.nycvp.com/ground_zero1.html. The Lower Manhattan tour operates Saturday and Sunday mornings and sells out every weekend. This 3-hour walk through New York�s political, financial and historic heart includes a visit to the official viewing area of the former site of the World Trade Center Twin Towers, now popularly known as Ground Zero.
