This new walking tour is perfect for first-time visitors or anyone interested in learning more about New York's famous Theatre District. Participants will learn the hidden secrets of the Theatre District as officially licensed tour guides introduce a number of tourist attractions, including Times Square, Broadway, Restaurant Row and the famed 42nd Street. As visitors stroll through Midtown Manhattan they will see and hear about the buildings and locations made famous in the movies, theater and on television. The tour will begin at the Ed Sullivan Theater, home of the David Letterman Show and site of groundbreaking TV appearances by Elvis and The Beatles. The tour will then pass by The International Soup Kitchen made famous by the hit television show Seinfeld. Who will ever forget the hilarious episode featuring that terrific line - �No soup for you!�? The tour will travel streets named in honor of entertainment and sports legends, such as Gershwin Way, Jack Dempsey Corner, Shubert Alley and Senor Wences Way, and then move on to visit New York City's most famous disco of the 1970's - Studio 54. Visitors will discover what Gilbert & Sullivan, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and the Times Square Church have in common. As they pass by the Brill Building they will learn how a clothing store's misery during the Great Depression changed the course of pop music. The tour will also visit Times Square - home of the world's largest New Year¹s Eve celebration and visitors will stroll by MTV and ABC Studios and 20 of Broadway's most famous theatres. The tour will come to a close with a walk down the �New� 42nd Street past Madame Tussaud's, B.B.
