New England Culinary Institute (NECI) Hospitality Education Programs Montpelier, VT
www.neculinary.com
Founded in 1980, NECI offers a 2-year A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts, a 2-year A.O.S. degree in Food and Beverage Management, a B.A. in Food and Beverage Management, and a Basic Cooking Certificate (non-academic). The A.O.S. degree features its trademark 7:1 student/teacher ratio in production kitchens.

NECI has more than 700 students on two campuses, Montpelier and Essex, offers a variety of non-professional cooking programs, and owns and operates ten diverse foodservice outlets including Main Street Grill & Bar, Butler's at The Inn at Essex and NECI Commons in Burlington.

In the A.O.S. program, you'll spend 75% of your training doing hands-on cooking in our professional foodservice operations. You'll participate in the activities of working kitchens, experiencing all types of food preparations. When youve proven yourself here, you can step into any professional foodservice operation with confidence. Our graduates are proof. You'll find successful NECI graduates in hundreds of the finest restaurants, hotels, and culinary facilities worldwide. The same hands-on learning experience is the core of the A.O.S. and B.A. programs for Food and Beverage Management.

Each of your two years of study in the A.O.S. Culinary program includes 700 clock-hours on a paid internship (20-24 weeks) at an off-campus restaurant or other professional facility. The A.O.S. and B.A. in Food and Beverage Management programs have one 700 clock-hour management internship position. Facilities may be in Vermont or as far away as Hawaii or France. Internships are some of the most personally rewarding portions of your education. Call us to receive our free four-color catalog and please come for a visit.
