Hanover, MD August 2003 Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament (medievaltimes.com), the home of exciting quality, family entertainment based upon the glory of the Middle Ages, has opened the doors to its new Maryland kingdom at Arundel Mills.

Majestic and memorable, the one-of-a-kind spectacle invites guests to experience unprecedented pageantry, dramatic horsemanship, breathtaking swordplay, falconry, sorcery and romance while feasting on a four-course banquet served in true medieval, pre-silverware fashion. The experience culminates in an authentic jousting tournament between six brave knights of the realm.

The 60,000 square-foot attractioncomplete with exterior stone façade, banner-topped turrets and an interior medieval themewill seat up to 1,020 guests for each performance. Each two-hour performance will feature spirited Andalusian stallions, the mount of kings, performing in tandem with their knights in games of skill, strength and agility.

The addition of Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament to Arundel Mills provides us with an opportunity to further enhance the exceptional retail and entertainment experiences that we provide to our customers, said Gene Condon, General Manager and Vice President at Arundel Mills. Medieval Times is a great complement to the entertainment, attractions and experiences at Arundel Mills that make people feel good about spending time here and at other Mills destinations.

Medieval Times is based upon authentic medieval history and the true story of a noble family whose lineage dates back to the 11th century. It began in 1973, with two dinner/entertainment complexes located in Majorca and Benidorm, Spain. The first North American Castle in Kissimmee, Florida opened in December 1983 and the company has since entertained more than 30 million visitors.

Showtimes are year-round on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 6:00pm and 8:30pm, and Sundays at 5:00pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive one hour before the start of each performance. Admission, which includes the two-hour live show, four-course feast, and two rounds of select beverages, is $45.95 for adults and $34.95 for children (12 and younger). Discount tickets are available for groups of 15 or more.

Besides the newest Maryland addition, Medieval Times has Castles located in Kissimmee, Florida; Buena Park, California; Lyndhurst, New Jersey; Schaumburg, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
