Seattle,
WA October 2010 Affluent consumers might not be so bullish about claiming
the recession is over. According to Unity
Marketing, as of September 2010, the majority of affluent consumers
(average income $306.7K) surveyed believe the recession continues but will
end sometime next year. This mindset will affect brands and services targeting
the luxury clientele. In November, several leaders in the luxury vacation
rental industry will gather to discuss how to best prepare for 2011.
The
first annual Luxury
Real Estate Vacation Rental Conference will be held in Las Vegas from
November 17-19, 2010. The conference will offer strategies and collaboration
for owners and managers of luxury vacation rentals. Topics include affluent
traveler trends, how the vacation rental industry is maturing, how to prepare
an organization, and how to personally be ready for 2011.
The
theme for our first conference is Preparing for the Comeback Year. We
chose this theme because we view 2011 as a critical bounce back year. The
last 24 months have been tough for everyone but we are witnessing a shift
this fall and expect it to continue into next year, said Michael McFadden,
Vice President of Vacation Rentals at Whos Who in Luxury Real Estate.
He continued, We have experts from around the world that will be collaborating
about ways to further develop the industry.
Some
of the key leading organizations attending and participating include: Aspen
Luxury Rentals, Barefoot Technologies Corporation, Bella Palazzo, Blizzard
Internet Marketing, Carmel Realty, Exclusive Vail Rentals, Lifestyle Villas
(Cabo), Papavero Villa Rentals (Italy), Paragon Lodging (Breckenridge),
Resort Data Processing, Resort Rating Specialists, Sonoma County Vacations,
Trinity Properties Hawaii, and Vail Valley Getaways.
