Fort
Myers, FL September 2011 Interior design and furnishings powerhouse
the Lubner Group has recently
completed the second phase of a five-year renovation project for the 155-unit
Carriage House vacation ownership property in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Built
in the 1970s, the nine-story building is located one block from the Las
Vegas Strip, between the MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood Hotel and in close
proximity to City Center. The Carriage House is managed by Outrigger Lodging
Services.

In
finishing the second part of this long-term project, 17 units were completed
including two ADA units. The hotels units range in size from 350 to 1,800
square feet, resulting in major challenges for the designers. The renovation
included new flooring, complete kitchens with cabinetry, appliances and
fixtures. All new case goods and soft goods were crafted by the Lubner
Group, including headboards, nightstands and a custom designed wall unit
that functions as a divider between two of the living spaces and as a location
for a flat-screened television. The design was selected as a finalist in
ARDAs award competition in the refurbishment category at the 2011 ARDA
conference.
Lubner
Group senior designer Gail Huff, ASID, NCIDQ, worked in close harmony with
the propertys General Manager Amy Lowell to determine the needs of their
guests. The chosen theme created an environment of elegant serenity with
supple fabrics and rich espresso wood tones.
Added
Ms. Lowell, We wanted to work with a company that could handle the entire
turnkey project. They helped us with design, fabrication, installation
and warehousing of materials. Throughout the entire process, they have
been extremely well organized and highly responsive to our needs. We continue
to be impressed with their services and the quality of their furnishings.
