College School of Hospitality and Tourism Richmond, VA
| Classes are taught at the JSRCC Center for Hospitality Development, which consists of lecture, laboratory and food service spaces. We realize that students learn in various modes, and certain students enjoy the convenience and freedom of distance education courses. We have selected the Blackboard platform as our virtual classroom. The courses within our virtual classroom are intellectually stimulating and a rich element of each students total educational program. Many courses are part of the degree programs, however any of our distance education courses may be taken by non-curricular students or individuals looking to improve their employment skills. For those classes held on campus, innovative class scheduling enables students to earn degrees by attending classes one day a week. Program students are eligible for semiannual awards of the American Hotel Foundation Scholarship, the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association Scholarship, the Virginia Restaurant Association Scholarship, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarship, as well as numerous other general scholarships offered through the college. Academic partnerships are maintained with the Virginia Chefs Association, The American Culinary Federation and the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. David J.
