Santa
Barbara, CA October 2004 InfoGenesis,
a leading provider of hospitality information technology, announced today
that the new FedExForum, which opened in Memphis in September 2004, has
selected Revelation point-of-sale (POS) from InfoGenesis. The FedExForum,
home to the NBAs Memphis Grizzlies, will become one of the most technologically
advanced sports and entertainment venues in North America.
It
was clear that InfoGenesis could match our commitment to technology and
to delivering improved customer service, said Paula Yancey, Project Manager
for PC Sports, the management company for FedExForum. Because the InfoGenesis
solution incorporates scalability and reliability, we are confident of
system performance.
The
new Forum will boast 1,000 premier courtside seats, 60 lower level and
club level luxury seats, a sports bar, a 260-seat restaurant, a retail
store, an 8,600-square-foot lounge, and a 200-seat event level restaurant.
The InfoGenesis solution, which will handle all transactions throughout
the Forums restaurants, bars, suites, and club seats, features Revelation
running on more than 33 IBM SurePOS 500 touch screen terminals and 31 Symbol
handheld terminals. Orders are routed to more than 60 Epson printers throughout
the facility. The wireless handhelds will be used in premium seats to speed
service and increase customer satisfaction. On the suite levels, IBM terminals
will be placed strategically on each floor to allow servers to service
suite owners conveniently and quickly.
We
are excited about deploying handhelds in the club seats, said Yancey.
The handhelds keep the customers in their seats watching the event, while
Levy provides fast service and improved order accuracy.
The
InfoGenesis solution also will help Forum management to use their new POS
technology to deliver improved reporting and business analysis. Revelation
will provide management with real-time access to information from all levels
of the stadiums food and beverage operations.
InfoGenesis
delivers the perfect solution to meet the requirements of an event-based
operation, added Yancey. FedExForum will be able to analyze the success
of an event, a menu item, or a seating area with the touch of a button.
