HSMAI DESIGNATES
18 NEW CERTIFIED HOSPITALITY MARKETING EXECUTIVES

WASHINGTON, DC (April 29, 1998) � The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has designated 18 members to receive its Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive (CHME) accreditation, it was announced by William R. Volk, CHME, Chairman of the HSMAI Certification Commission. HSMAI�s Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive (CHME) is a level two Marketing certification following the Educational Institute of AH&MA�s level one Sales certification CHSP (Certified Hospitality Sales Professional.) CHME is earned by those professionals who have effectively demonstrated the credibility, knowledge, expertise, and confidence that has become
increasingly necessary in today�s fast-paced and ever-changing hospitality industry.  Both
HSMAI and AH&MA endorse and cross promote these programs. Successful CHME candidates must complete a pre-examination component which involves education and industry experience, a written examination, and a research paper.
