The world-renowned UNLV College of Hotel Administration, located 1.5 miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip, is the ideal location for studying hospitality. The proximity to the best living laboratory in the world for hospitality education provides students with ample work opportunities and experience at just about any type of hospitality operation. Over 2000 students are enrolled in the Hotel College, and 26 percent are international students from 49 different countries. Over 50 full time faculty, who are experts in their fields, and an equal number of part-time faculty that are industry professionals provide a depth and breadth of coursework unequaled anywhere. With such a large faculty, individual professors can specialize in their areas of instruction. UNLV faculty are highly sought after as speakers at national and international conferences and are well published in academic journals and as textbook authors.

There are three undergraduate degrees offered: Hotel Management, Culinary Arts Management and Recreation/Leisure Studies. Several Master's degrees are offered, including a joint MBA with the College of Business and several online distance learning opportunities. A Ph.D. Degree is also offered. Areas of concentration within the Hotel Management degree include meeting and convention management, casino management, entertainment and events management, human resources, private club management, golf management and hospitality marketing. Some courses are available online. Opportunities for study in Europe and Asia, for structured classes and/or internships are available.
