Special celebration honors Orange County Concierge Association members
Santa Ana, CA November 2004 Members of the Orange County Concierge Association (OCCA) were treated to a special event on the evening of November 10th. Guest Informant, a national publisher of upscale visitor guides, and the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art welcomed OCCA members to a private party complete with a behind-the-scenes tour of the museums new, world-renowned exhibit, Queen of Sheba: Legend and Reality. While OCCA members reveled in the museums unique collection of antiquities, they enjoyed hors doeuvres, compliments of Tangata Restaurant (located within the Bowers Museum).

The pinnacle of the evening event was a special awards presentation honoring an OCCA member for their accomplishments within the guest services industry. Representatives from Guest Informant and the Bowers Museum presented the annual Best Friend award, named for the OCCA slogan In Service Through Friendship.

The Best Friend 2004 award went to Bobi Hirschbein, concierge at the Anaheim/Orange County Convention & Visitor Center restaurant desk. In addition to the award, Ms. Hirschbein was presented with prizes from Nina Montee Spa and The Green Parrot Café. Bobi has truly been a best friend to her peers within the OCCA, stated Jeanette Teder, Co-President of the OCCA. Guest Informant publisher Connie Hamilton added, Our company truly understands the value of the concierge to the visitor experience, and we are so pleased to present this award to Bobi.
