Groople Expands To Meet Growing Demand For Group Travel
Denver, CO May 2005 Groople, the leading domestic and international group travel booking resource, announces the opening of a 30,000 square foot Denver office at 13059 East Peakview Avenue in Centennial, closing their smaller facility at 6436 South Racine Circle. The new building houses Grooples staff of more than 100, and will accommodate the companys large number of expected new hires as the company continues to expand. The growth and customer acceptance of the brand have caused Groople sales to nearly double quarter after quarter this year.

Groople also announces the addition of Eliot Cobb to the position of CFO. Cobb is the former co-founder and CFO of online luggage retailer eBags (www.ebags.com), with over 25 years experience in the field of finance. He is the newest addition to Grooples management team, whose exceptional breadth of expertise includes senior level experience with United Airlines, American Airlines, Marriott Hotels, Cheaptickets.com and Trip.com.

Since launching in July, Groople has quickly become the premier online booking resource for the $18-24 billion North American leisure group hotel market, with tools, technology and expert group planners that ease the burden of planning and booking groups of all kinds. As the first website to allow consumers to book 5 or more hotel rooms online with real-time inventory and group rates, Groople will soon launch new group capabilities for air, car, cruise and rail.

International Expansion For Groople

Groople also announces the opening of Groople Europe, the companys first international office headquartered in Paris, France. Led by Managing Director Todd Kramer, Groople is targeting the estimated $300 billion global group travel market. To meet the demand of US groups wanting overseas hotels and to tap the growing number of European online leisure reservations (rising at twice the rate of US online leisure bookings*), Groople will aggressively expand the companys international hotel inventory.

Grooples new US facility and Europe office are a result of growing the business to meet the demands of both our customers and employees, said Groople Chief Executive Officer David Loy. Our rapid, planned expansion will ensure Groople remains a leader in the group travel space by building the largest group travel operation of its kind, far and above our competitors.

Grooples recent expansion has included a partnership with Travelocity, allowing broader distribution of Grooples group inventory and specialized group planning tools on Travelocity.com when users select more than 5 hotel rooms. Groople has also recently announced partnerships with Cendant Hotels, Best Western and La Quinta Hotels, providing real-time group rates for thousands of the 57,000 properties available through the Groople website and call center.
