Celebrate Canadas Thanksgiving On Columbus Day
in the heart of Ontarios Historic Southern Georgian Bay Resort Area
|
Georgian Bay-Lake Huron, Ontario September 2004 Monday October 11th is a North American Holiday celebration for both Americans & Canadians and reflects on the times of our original explorers. Samuel de Champlain may be credited celebrating his first Thanksgiving in Ontario, on his visit to Georgian Bay in 1615, and his famous feast that has resulted in the Order of Good Cheer. This is a time of many cross border exchanges with families having relatives in both countries.

The Georgian Bay area is steeped in early Native & European history, and has much to celebrate each fall on the second Monday in October.
