FCC also offers two Hospitality Services certificate programs, one in culinary arts and one in hospitality supervision. The culinary certificate (18 credits) consists primarily of hands-on training in basic culinary skills, along with proper sanitation, cost control, and purchasing techniques. Completion of this certificate, combined with the appropriate work experience, may qualify a student for the Certified Cook exam provided through the American Culinary Federation. The hospitality supervision certificate (16 credits) provides knowledge and marketable skills in basic supervisory functions, along with career-specific hospitality courses in sanitation and purchasing/cost control. Completion of the certificate, along with appropriate work experience, can lead to management positions in the hospitality industry.
