Orlando, FL May 2003 Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show has a new leading lady. Kimberly Stockdill has been named one of three emcees for the companys Orlando location, opening in June.

As one of the Master of Ceremonies for the show, Stockdill is in charge of just about everythingfrom establishing a strong connection with the audience and performing musical numbers, to calling equestrian competitions and rounding up the grand finale.

The search began back in early January when more than 100 people auditioned for the part. Four finalists were selected, one of which was Stockdill. She has now completed three months of intensive training to make sure that she is prepared to handle the leading role in Orlando.

Stockdill is an entertainment veteran. During the past 15 years she has worked in just about every arena from radio, TV, studio and print to cruise lines and theme parks. She has appeared in live shows at Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens and Opryland USA. One of her career highlights was working with Donald OConnor in Damn Yankees at the Showboat Dinner Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Kim has been receiving rave reviews in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, said Ken McCabe, Corporate Director of Entertainment for Dixie Stampede. The audiences just adore her. We are thrilled to have her joining our team in Orlando. With her unique blend of strength and charm, she will add a new dimension to the show.

Stockdill is equally excited about the opportunity to work with Dixie Stampede. Ive got big shoes to fill and have had to learn everythingfrom songs and dance steps, to how to ride a horse. Working with this group has been an incredible experience for me and Im quite confident its time for a show like this in Orlando.

Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show Orlando, is a Dollywood Production. Orlandos Most Fun Place to Eat, will open June 19, 2003. The general admission price $43.99 for adults and $28.99 for children ages 3 to 11, plus sales tax includes the Carriage Room show, the main show and a fabulous four-course feast.
