Grand opening events included an Aboriginal Smudging Ceremony performed by Charles �Wimpi� Solomon, Elder, Kingsclear First Nation and an Aboriginal Drumming Ceremony, performed by Ron Tremblay and The Welamooktook Chanters. The evening also featured performances by local musicians, guest speakers, property tours and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Some of the special guests in attendance included Jody Carr, MLA, Oromocto Gagetown; Mayor Fay Tidd, Town of Oromocto; Lt.-Col Paul Kearney, Chief of Staff, CFB Gagetown and Irwin Prince, President & COO, Days Inns - Canada.
