Days Inns - Canada Recognizes Top Employees
Toronto, ON � February 2006 � Days Inns - Canada recently honoured four of its top performing employees with Platinum Awards at its conference held in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Platinum Awards are given to Days Inn members who create outstanding positive guest experiences over the course of the year. To nominate an employee, hotel general managers submit letters received from guests that thank an employee for exceeding their expectations and providing a memorable stay. Notably, all four candidates who received a 2005 Platinum Award work at five- Sunburst rated hotels, which are considered the best in the Days Inn family and are recognized for their outstanding commitment to guest service and operational standards.

Platinum Award recipients for 2005 were:

  • Mae McGregor, Breakfast Attendant, Days Inn - Medicine Hat, Alberta
  • James Walters, Front Desk Agent, Days Inn - Yorkton, Saskatchewan
  • Tula Staley, Food & Beverage Supervisor, Days Hotel & Conference Centre - Toronto Downtown, Ontario
  • Eric Donnedieu, Front Office Supervisor, Days Inn � Montreal Downtown, Quebec

As part of their award package, Platinum Award recipients received a complimentary trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario, to attend the Days Inns - Canada Conference where they were presented with plaques and cheques for $500 at the opening session.
