Cape
May, NJ April 2005 Congress
Hall, the 106-room beachfront hotel in Cape May, NJ, has signed a partnership
agreement with The InnerWork Company, a management training and consulting
firm, headquartered in Chester Springs, PA. Congress Hall will now add
InnerWorks team building and development programs to its corporate meetings
and events.
According to Patrick Logue, Director of Sales and Marketing for Congress Hall, his property joins a growing list of select hotels and conference centers across the country that has teamed with InnerWork over the past 12 years. The partnership enables Congress Hall to offer capabilities that are essential in the corporate meeting and event planning industry. In the three years since our $25 million renovation restored Congress Hall to its former grandeur, weve looked at ways to market the property to the corporate community, Logue said. Last year we created the Harrison Room Conference Center, a 1,600 square foot, state-of-the-art meeting facility for just this purpose. It brought our total meeting capacity to 5,500 square feet. We recently added wireless Internet capability, another important element to meet todays high-tech corporate demands. Now, our agreement with InnerWork, will take our capabilities to a whole new level, he continued. The hotel will now be able to more fully utilize its interior and exterior facilities when it comes to meetings. We can now incorporate our fitness center, beachfront location, expansive grounds and all that Cape May has to offer to enhance the corporate meeting and event experience, Logue concluded. For Ed Quinn, President of InnerWork, Congress Hall is seeking to respond to an industry-wide shift that is now focusing beyond the tactical meeting planner side of putting a meeting together, and seeking innovative, result-based ways to satisfy the ultimate customer the leader and the leaders key people by creating meeting experiences that meet the leaders definition of value for investing in an off-site meeting. Weve developed a broad number of programs, experiences, and methods to improve the power and performance of a corporate meeting for leaders and their teams, Quinn said. In todays economy, executives want to host meetings that have impact, value and return-on-investment, particularly when they gather all of their key people in one room. Congress Hall understands this. Its smaller size and particular charm will make it ideal for leaders and teams who need to get away, make good things happen in a short period of time, and take their new learning, new plans, and agreements back into the playing field. Congress Hall is located at the Southern tip of the Jersey Shore, 45 minutes south of Atlantic City and only a two hour drive from Philadelphia and Baltimore, less than three hours from New York City and Washington, DC. The hotel has 106 rooms, an on-site spa, fitness room, and flexible meeting space including its ballroom that can seat 350 theatre style and 300 for dinner. For
