Gulf Shores, AL � April 2004 � Do you savor the finer things in life? A fine glass of wine? An exquisite meal prepared by a renowned chef? A beautiful coastal setting? The first annual Southern Breeze Coastal Wine Tour brings it all together, blending premium wines and gourmet food with Gulf Coast culture for an entertaining, educational and memorable experience you will long remember.

The 2004 Southern Breeze Coastal Wine Tour includes four Gulf Coast events:

  • Ocean Springs, MS � April 16-18
  • Orange Beach, AL � May 21-23
  • Mandeville, LA � October 1-3
  • Rosemary Beach, FL � October 22-24
Presented by Southern Breeze magazine, the Coastal Wine Tour brings a one-of-a-kind epicurean affair combining a series of upscale events, including Vintner Dinners, a Bubbles By the Sea Brunch, educational seminars, a jazz concert and The Beau Rivage Grand Wine Tasting.

The Beau Rivage Grand Wine Tastings in Ocean Springs and Orange Beach feature nearly 100 international wineries pouring 150 different premium wines. The wineries represent wine producing regions in New Zealand, Australia, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Chile and Argentina well as California, Oregon and Washington State.

In Ocean Springs, the event begins with two special Vintner Dinners. The Vintner Dinner at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, features Beau Rivage Executive Chef Joseph Friel with wine expert John Larchet of Australian Premium Wine Collections. The Vintner Dinner at Al Fresco Italian Bistro in Ocean Springs, features Jason Brumm, the Chef du Cuisine at Fish Out Of Water at the WaterColor Inn in Northwest Florida and vintner Sebastian Wilson of Aresti Vineyards of Chile.

In Orange Beach the first Vintner Dinner features Chef Terry Letsen of Fume Bistro in Sonoma, California and California winemakers Ken Bernard of Ancien Wines and Richard Perry of Richard Perry Wines at Gauthier�s Restaurant on the bay in Orange Beach. The second Vintner Dinner, in the Arnold Palmer Dining Room at Craft Farms, a coastal golf resort in Gulf Shores, features Chef Brack May of Cobalt Restaurant in New Orleans and John Hoffman of Winery and Associates.

Southern Breeze magazine welcomes Beau Rivage Resort and Casino and SouthCoastUSA as official Coastal Wine Tour Sponsors. The Tour will benefit the non-profit Gulf of Mexico Foundation.
