the Tombstones - October 17, 24, 31
Skulls
and crossed bones. Angels and rosebuds. Local graveyards are art galleries
harboring stories, literature, and legends. Join a stroll through colonial
and antebellum cemeteries. Discover this unique portrait of the past found
in our old graveyards. A two-hour tour begins at 10am. Cost is $16.50.

on the Square - October 17 � November 1

than 50 creative scarecrows made by families, schools and businesses are

Old
Santee Canal Park invites guests to make a Halloween mask and basket to
use this Halloween. Then guests can also have fun making faces on pumpkins.
Class is limited to 15 children and a parent must come with each student.

St.
Pauls Day School in Hollywood will once again host the ever popular Halloween
Extravaganza. The event includes a 40 min. hayride through the Deep Dark

Halloween
in the Swamp at Cypress Gardens - October 24 � 25
Is
there any place scarier than a blackwater swamp in the moonlight? These
two nights of horror include a haunted boat ride, spooky trail and a face-your-fears
challenge. Music, food and a kiddy fun room for young children are also
part of this event. Tickets are sold from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm each night.

Summerville
Ghost Walk and Harvest Moon Hayride - October 25
Twenty-minute
ghost story tours at various downtown locations. Each tour ends with a
finale by the Flowertown Players in the James F. Dean Theater. Sponsored
by Jr. Service League.
Harvest
Moon Hayride - winds through darkened streets, and riders are entertained
by music and special stories. Riders are $3 each, with �lapsitters� (of

from a Haunted Mansion - October 30
Wentworth
Mansion�s famed restaurant, Circa 1886 Presents �Tales from a Haunted Mansion�
Dinner and a Show of ghost stories by resident storyteller, Tim Lowry.
Begin your elegantly �haunted� evening with champagne, hors d�ouevres and
ghost stories in the historic Wentworth Mansion. Built in 1886 (hence Circa
1886 Restaurant) this beautiful home is the perfect setting for the start
of a very entertaining and tasteful event. Guests will then follow storyteller
Tim through the gardens to the restaurant for an evening of ghost stories

Hoedown at Wild Dunes - October 31
The
resort�s Edgar Restaurant & Bar will host a Costume Hoedown on Friday,
October 31, to celebrate the ghostly holiday. Guests of all ages are welcome

and children will enjoy some delights from the Halloween themed menus.
