GA � September 2003 � The World Golf Championships - American Express Championship
will be contested at the Capital City Club Crabapple, located just outside
the city limits of beautiful Alpharetta,
Georgia. A field of approximately 50 of the best players in the world,
including Defending Champion Tiger Woods, will compete September 30th through
October 5th.
The
American Express Championship, which debuted in 1999, is one of four World
Golf Championships events. It is sanctioned and organized by the International
Federation of PGA Tours. The first two years of the American Express Championship,
the tournament was held at the Valderrama Golf Club in Andalucia, Spain.
Valderrama is one of the most recognized courses in Europe.
