Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), and experience firsthand a
rapidly growing trend in both travel and recreation.

Note: While many sectors
of the travel industry have suffered the after effects of September 11th,
and most recently, the war in Iraq, one that has thrived not only in recent
years but over the past decade might come as a surprise. Are you sitting
down? Nude recreation and nude travel has grown into a $400 million global
industry (up from $120 million in 1992), and in the last two years alone,
30 new nudist or clothing-optional clubs have opened their doors in the
U.S. and Canada.
Now that the summer months
are approaching, many of the 267 nudist or clothing-optional clubs are
basking in the boom their business could see as a result.
Nude recreation, however,
has gone well beyond the clubs and resorts in 2003 You might have heard
about the first nude flight, which went from Miami to Cancun the first
weekend in May, or perhaps you read about the increasing popularity of
nude cruising: there was one nude cruise in 1992 (the first ever), there
are seven scheduled for this year. And yes, trains are getting into the
act as well - the first ever nude dinner train rolled out in Southern California
this spring.
AANR has seen its membership
grow by roughly 75% over the past decade, to nearly 50,000 members. |
