In Pursuit of the Great Pumpkin-Routes North of TorontoBarrie, Ontario � October 2004 � Celebrate with the family this October and visit one of the many farms North of Toronto that offer pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay rides and of course, Halloween fun. Many of the activities follow the designated routes that revolve around the Highway 400 and Highway 11 junction in Barrie Ontario North of Toronto. The 400Eleven web site provides a one-stop source for directions and specific routes, accommodation and area events.

Barrie and Surrounding Country Side

  • The Barrie Area via Highway 400, 93, 11 Route:

  • This route is quite easy and takes you from Highway 400 back to Highway 11 via Highway 93. Brown�s Farm in Dalston, Mertz Farms in Hillsdale and Chappell Farms between Barrie and Orillia. This is a full half day trip.

  • The Mansfield, Stayner, Egbert Route:

  • This Route is one of the closest to Toronto, and makes for an excellent day trip north on Highway 400 to Highway 89 to start. Ireland Orchards in Mansfield. Fernwood Farms & Market in Stayner, Stillmeadow Farms & Country Market in Stayner, and Drysdales Tree Farms in Egbert (South of Barrie).
