Last week 418 subscribers to the newsletter (nearly 15%) took part in the quick monitor survey conducted. This information might be helpful (and a bit of a surprise) - of those responding 60% are in for eye-sore (using 14" monitor or laptop), about 28% of you have upgraded to 17" monitors and the balance of the respondents happen to be using other sizes (notably 19"). The widespread use of 14" monitors does have an effect on how web pages are created and the resulting view (makes for plenty of page scrolling and/or possible page breaks where you did not intend them). Also, two respondents to the survey have won $10.00 each and they will be announced with next week's issue. These simple surveys will continue to occur on a regular basis - use the results to your advantage.==========

So many of you write complaining that "links" in AOL e-mail do not work -- so we'll address that here. It's simple = tell the folks at AOL you don't like their e-mail program. In Netscape (which is
now "owned" by AOL) links will automatically be "clickable" once typed correctly - same goes for Microsoft Internet Explorer e-mail program. Making links "clickable" in AOL is a complicated task and not user friendly - in my opinion. It's a customer service issue and you're not complaining loudly enough. AOL has many options you can configure, but for business communications the features can be a bit daunting. Learn how to use Netsacpe, IE and Outlook - it can make your life much easier. Incidentally - Netscape e-mail program can be used "over" your AOL connection - others may tell you differently.============
