Area
Marketing Representative - Northern California
Description
The Area Marketing Representative
sells TDG products and services to new and existing clients in a predefined
territory under the direction of the Regional Director of Sales, CA/NV
Region.
Specific
Duty Highlights Are
-
Achieve
the annual sales goals of the defined territory by developing, implementing
and directing the strategies and actions in accordance with established
guidelines.
-
Coordinate
client service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer
satisfaction and profitability of the territory a minimum of once per quarter.
Complete service call logs and return to home office by the date required.
Call logs are to be submitted weekly.

Using
Sales Automation, maintain a prospect list, ensuring the contact names
and addresses are correct and current. Manage prospect list by adding
or changing information, as it becomes available. Each quarter as
the guides are printed, review new list and update.

Responsible
for reviewing territory accounts receivable list and ensuring all payments
are collected from territory clients before guide cut-off.

Responsible
for completing contracts completely and adhering to company pricing guidelines
according to qualifications for rate and terms.

Follow-up
with every client property that is advertising after each sales cut-off,
calling as if a potential guest to ensure TDG advertised rate is the lowest
rate available to the public.

Schedule
to ride with the distribution representative for the territory a minimum
of two times per year.

Ensure
established sales office administration guidelines are executed, followed
and maintained.

Enhance
the company�s image through active participation & involvement in the
industry & community organizations and stays abreast of competition,
new developments and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry
to maximize profitability.

Utilize
technology in all aspects of the job.

Check
voice mail a minimum of twice daily.
-
Check
e-mail a minimum of once daily.
-
Maintain
all current & accurate contact records to include history in GoldMine.
-
Sync
sales automation database a minimum of once daily.
Qualifications
-
Minimum
3 years in territory sales (lodging industry experience a plus).

A proven
track record in growing sales.
-
Must
be organized, have a high degree to detail and the ability to adhere to
deadlines.

Must
be self directed, self-motivated, and focused on results.
-
Must
have a good working knowledge of PC applications such as Office 97 (Excel,
Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook), database management, sales automation,
email and the World Wide Web.
Compensation
-
Salary commensurate with
experience. Health insurance and 401K also available.
