field of hotels and restaurants. To maintain and extend our successful
reputation, our Shreveport
property currently has an excellent opportunity for a Sales Representative.
You will be responsible
for generating top line revenue for the hotel by developing new accounts
and maintaining existing accounts, updating sales goals, conducting sales
calls, and obtaining orders and securing contracts. You will solicit group,
tour, and convention business through cold calling and travel, quote rates,
negotiate agreements and terms of functions. Position is also responsible
for soliciting and securing catering business.
To meet the needs of this
position, you must have a college degree in hotel, business, marketing,
or a related field and a minimum of three years of hotel sales experience
is required (sales in a casino environment is a plus). Knowledge of creating
proposals and quotes, contract negotiations, and the tour and convention
business required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, team building,
and problem solving skills a must. Supervisory experience and two years
computer background in Word, Windows, Excel, Schedule +, Delphi, Meeting
Matrix and AS/400 preferred.
