William Rainey Harper College is a comprehensive community college serving the northwest Chicago suburbs. The Harper College Hospitality Program was initiated in 1969 and provides comprehensive training to students with emphasis on the food service and lodging industries.

We offer an Associates of Applied Science in Hospitality with an emphasis on lodging or food service and four certificate programs; Culinary Arts, Baking, Lodging and Food Service. The certificates are designed to be finished in 1-year of full time study.

The department works extensively with local employers and providers. Students will experience guest lectures from professionals, facility tours and practice in the craft of hospitality. Area businesses that provide support include Hyatt Hotels, Marriott Hotels, McCormick Place Exhibition Hall, Sysco Distributors, Edward Don Company, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and many Chicagoland operations.
