ON & Surrey, UK – January 2010 – VFM
Leonardo, leader in online visual content distribution for hotels,
today announced that Small Luxury Hotels
of the World (SLH) has adopted the VScape® Digital Asset Management
System. SLH, a brand comprised of over 500 hotels in more than 70 countries,
will use the Enterprise edition of VScape to manage still images for their
hotels and distribute them to the VNetwork™
in the formats and delivery methods required.
VNetwork
is the largest
online visual content distribution network for the travel industry
and includes all four GDSs as well as Pegasus and thousands of third-party
websites and channels including Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, TripAdvisor
and more, as such; SLH’s hotel images will be available on the broadest
number of relevant sites to provide travel shoppers with a consistent view
of their hotels from site to site.
“SLH
believes that visuals are an important part of the customer experience,
allowing customers to see what makes the hotels unique whilst emphasizing
the luxurious experiences they offer, which is more likely to make them
book. VFM Leonardo will assist us in ensuring the visuals of our hotels
are always available and up-to-date on the websites customers use during
the hotel selection process,” said Paul Kerr, CEO of Small Luxury Hotels
of the World.
SLH
has also selected and endorses VFM Leonardo as the exclusive distributor
of rich media for their properties. Individual SLH properties may choose
to further enhance their presence on travel websites by distributing their
photos as well as rich media to the VNetwork in a multimedia viewer using
VFM Leonardo’s VBrochure
Online Merchandising System which integrates seamlessly with SLH’s
VScape instance.
“We
encourage our hotels to use videos and virtual tours to better merchandise
their hotels online. VFM Leonardo’s VBrochure Online Merchandising System
will help us capture the attention of travel shoppers and differentiate
a hotel with inspiring visuals,” stated Kerr.
“We
are delighted to help SLH enhance the visual presentations of their hotels
online. In this digital age, consumers are shopping on multiple websites
for hotels that stand out and communicate their experiences in inspiring
ways. We believe that SLH will see increased exposure of their hotels’
visual content online and lead to increased revenue potential,” states
Paolo Boni, president & CEO, VFM Leonardo.
