The School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM), at the University of Guelph, was established in 1969, as Canada’s first four-year university degree program in hospitality business management, focusing on hotels, restaurants, food services, lodging, hospitality and tourism.

The School has continued to be a leader in Canada, with several more ‘firsts’: 1st (and only) in Canada to offer a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Tourism Management; 1st (and only) in Canada to offer an MBA specializing in hotels, restaurants and hospitality; and rated 1st in Canada for hospitality research and ranked the top hospitality and tourism program in Canada.

Guelph HTM graduates can be found in management positions in all sectors of the global tourism industry, from leading hotels in far flung places, to corporate headquarters in Canada, to top restaurants in major cities, and on the ground wherever you go, as tourism entrepreneurs and business managers in one the world’s largest industries.
