Temple University's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, affiliated with The Fox School of Business and Management, was established in 1998 to meet the growing demands for highly-qualified professionals in tourism, hospitality, sport and recreation in the Philadelphia region and beyond. The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management offers complete degree programs: (1) B.S. in Tourism and Hospitality Management, (2) B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management, (3) MTHM. (Master of Tourism and Hospitality Management), (4) M.Ed. in Sport and Recreation Administration, and (5) Starting from 2002, the Fox School of Business and Management teams up with STHM to offer a new Ph.D. program in Business Administration with emphasis in Tourism.

As the region's leading provider of management talent, STHM provides its students with the best and most comprehensive education for management careers by integrating the latest technologies in e-business, management and research into its curriculum and the classroom. The faculty of STHM are nationally-recognized scholars, representative of diverse backgrounds in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and sport and recreation. Additionally, STHM responds to the growing need for reliable and accurate research for the world's largest industry with its research center.

Internships are an integral part of all programs of study, undergraduate and graduate. Given Temples strategic location at the heart of a great metropolitan center (Philadelphia) and its proximity to two other metropolitan centers (New York City and Washington, DC), the University provides STHM students with an outstanding laboratory for hands-on learning and as well as exciting avenues for employment.
